The "You Matter" Project    

We would like to introduce a dear friend of ours we met while delivering lunches downtown.  His name is Tedd and he is a great guy having a tough time.  Tedd touched our hearts when he read to us a poem he wrote about the "You Matter" phrase we write on each of the lunches we deliver.  Here is that poem.  I hope it touches your heart the way both Tedd and his poem touched ours:

"You Matter"
 
Two little words
written on a brown paper bag
Inside a simple sandwich
cookies, crackers, a piece of fruit
Two little words
that someone took the time to write, sitting at home, making a meal for someone
Two little words
that some might over look
yet some take notice that someone took the time
to make a simple meal
and say...
"You Matter"
